- Period B: Friday, November 14th and Tuesday, November 18th
- Period D: Monday, November 17th and Tuesday, November 18th
- Period G: Monday, November 17th and Wednesday November 19th
Exam: Chapter 4 – Solution Stoichiometry
- review document posted in Schoology
- Textbook Sections Covered: 4.1, 4.2 (most), 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8 (parts), 4.9 (some)
- questions: free response (no M/C) using calculator
- solubility table will be provided (yes)
- periodic table and ion chart will be provided
Exclusions from Chapter 4 (do not need to know… for now)
- balancing redox reactions
- oxidizing / reducing agents
- acid-base indicators
- titration endpoints
- strong & weak acids and bases
Advice
- work on extra problems in the back of the chapter
- WRITE BALANCED REACTIONS – SHOW ALL PROPER SYMBOLS (all caps are provided for emphasis)
- review HOW to approach problems
- focus on HOW TO SHOW WORK in a multi-step problem
- units matter / process matters / points given for written support
- breathe – it will all be OK
Textbook Practice Problems
- ANY problem from 23 – 71 could help – choose from the area that best suits your needs
- The problems 96-99 are more complex and have multiple areas addressed. If you can complete these then you should be well-prepared for the exam
