Titration Curve

Beautiful Titration Curve

Dates

  • Period F: Tuesday, March 5th
  • Period A: Wednesday, March 6th
  • Period B: Wednesday, March 6th

Lab – Titration Using Digital Methods

  • NO SCREEN SHOTS AT ALL
  • pH probe must always be stored in solution (do not dry)
  • only use about 5 mL of acid to start
  • Acid = HCl, base = NaOH
  • connect the Airlink THEN connect probes to Airlinks
  • might have to try a few times to connect
  • be sure and save file after each trial
  • do not create a new file for each trial – just press start
  • be sure and turn off drops BEFORE stopping data collection
  • slow drop rate = pretty data (better chance to stabilize pH

Data Collected in LNB

  • initial volume base
  • initial volume acid
  • final volume acid
  • final volulme base
  • total drops of base delivered
  • drop count @ equivalence point
  • (EQ happens with LARGEST jump of pH)

Homework

  • No HW
  • NOTE: Quiz soon on digital titrations
